10 Jaw-dropping Pieces of Sexy Lingerie …

Male dreams are made of them so you'll have to agree that owning at least one sexy set means having an ace up our sleeves. Sexy lingerie is indeed a must have even if we have nobody to show it to because wearing it kind of gives that extra boost of confidence and sex appeal that reflect to our business relationships, friendships and love life. Numerous researches have been conducted in this field but, don't worry, I won't bother you with scientific facts now. I just want to demonstrate how important it is for a woman to feel sexy sometimes. And these following 10 items I've found could sure make me feel sexy on any given day of the week. So, take a look at them, please, and tell me what you think.

1. Sequined bra

Sequined bra
Price: $80.00 at us.topshop.com
Over-priced or not, I'd give my 80 bucks for this glam bra. I'd think twice about it but I would…Honestly. You know why? Because I already see two ways to use it – one is kind of private so I wouldn't go into details and the other is of purely fashion nature. Take your pick – Lady Gaga style or a more leveled, sparkly bra + semi translucent tunic look.

2. Lacy corset

Lacy corset
Price: $55.00 at us.topshop.com
I totally love corsets and the way they make the whole body look! They are not really practical for everyday wear, but, hey, we all know what these are for. Right ladies? Compared to bras and panties, corsets don't exactly come cheap but hey, they do a great job at hiding the little belly fat, look incredibly sexy and come with their own removable suspenders so all you need is a matching color thong and a pair of stockings and you're all set!

7 Fashionable and Functional Gloves …

7 Fashionable and Functional Gloves …

I’m a huge fan of gloves. I typically have at least three or four pairs hiding around the house, mainly because I always lose them. And because I’ve lost all my gloves from last year, I’m now on the hunt for a few more pairs. I have several guidelines for gloves before I’ll buy them, but when it comes to these 7 fashionable and functional gloves, I decided to be a little bit more open minded – so I hope y’all like them too!

1. ASOS Fantasy Fur Mittens

ASOS Fantasy Fur Mittens
Price: $27.58 at us.asos.com
Sometimes, you need something really warm – and fur faux is definitely warm. These are mittens, of course, so while they are ideal for keeping your hands warm, you’ll want to wear them when you aren’t actually going to be doing anything that requires the full use of your fingers.

2. Lots of Glove for You

Lots of Glove for You
Price: $27.99 at modcloth.com
This pair of gloves comes in lots of different colors but I chose red because during winter, you often need bright colors just to help keep the dreariness out of the day. They are incredibly soft and they reach to your elbows, so you definitely won’t have to worry about keeping your arms warm. The best part is they are functional and fashionable, with their button detailing. They’re made primarily of wool and angora, which is no doubt why they look so chic!

3. ASOS Flat Studded Suede Gloves

ASOS Flat Studded Suede Gloves
Price: $48.27 at us.asos.com
Leather gloves are often considered a necessity during winter. They’re practical and stylish, after all, and typically allow for better ease of movement – but they can get boring. In contrast these suede gloves are incredibly innovative, especially thanks to the way the cuffs flare and the gold studs covering them.

Who says a Christmas stocking has to be red or green? This one's creamy white with a flock of pretty blue and green chickadees perched on a gorgeous gold tree. It reverses to rows of perky gold, green, and blue dots. So pretty, and so unique!

2. Crate & Barrel Jewel Ruby Stocking

Crate & Barrel Jewel Ruby Stocking

10 Places I’m Dying to Visit …

I'm one of those people who love to travel but never has the opportunity to do so, although I do plan on changing that. I've never even been on a plane! Still, that doesn't mean I don't have a list of must-see destinations, and here it is!

1. Paris, France

Paris, France

I had the chance to go to Paris with members of my French class in high school. Had the tickets booked and everything — and totally changed my mind. Because I decided that visiting Paris, a city I love without ever having been there, needed to be saved and savored. I decided I wanted to do it with someone I loved, rather than a dozen bubble gum brained high school girls who still laughed at the phrase "un peu," since it sounded like "poo."

2. Florence, Italy

Florence, Italy

I have always wanted to go to Italy — as you will say. But my number one choice there is Florence, for a variety of reasons. And I'll be honest, Thomas Harris and Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal (the novel, though the movie had high points in the scenes there as well) had a large part in making me want to see the city. Harris's descriptions were absolutely exquisite, and Lecter was made for the city.

3. Seattle, Washington

Seattle, Washington

I haven't ever gotten totally over my grunge phase. I wouldn't want to live on the West Coast permanently, nor would I particularly want to stay in Seattle forever, but a visit is a must. I wouldn't mind spending time on the coast there and in Oregon, either.

7 Ways to Stop Drinking Soda …

7 Ways to Stop Drinking Soda …

Soda, pop, soft drink – whatever you call it, I need to cut down on it big time. There are a lot of benefits attached to getting off the fizzy stop, but it’s hard. At least, it’s hard for me, because I am a huge fan of both Coke and Pepsi. If you’re trying to get off this crazy carbonated beverage too, there here are some tips that might help you!

1. Moderate Your Intake

Moderate Your Intake

Moderation is the key with a lot of unhealthy things: chocolate, fatty foods, and even soda. It might be hard at first, because so many sodas have caffeine. However, if you can start by limiting the amount of cans or bottles you allow yourself each day, quitting will be much easier.

2. Gradually Decrease

In line with moderation, soda isn’t really something you can quit cold turkey. Nine times out of time, you’ll probably wind up back on the fizz within a week. Even if you have to stop your intake very slowly, such as by drinking a portion less each day, this can help you get off and stay off of soda.

3. Take Away Its Power

Soda is potent. It is fizzy, it’s caffeinated, it tastes good. You have to take away the power it has over your taste buds and your mind. One of the best ways to do that is by watering it down. Let the ice melt, add water. Whichever option you choose, it will taste horrible, you won’t be getting as much sugar or caffeine, and that will be great incentive in the long run. If you’re also like me and have a love/hate relationship with water, this can also help you realize it’s actually way better, and better for you, than soda.

8 Tips on Finding the Perfect Christmas Gift …

Everyone wants to find that perfect gift to give that special someone at Christmas time and it is something that we all find so difficult to do. Here are 8 tips on finding the perfect Christmas gift.

8. Do not feel you have to buy expensive gifts

Buying a gift is not a symbol to show how much money you have, it shows that you care and love the person that the present is for. It is a gift from your heart to them because of this you do not need to feel as though you need to buy a really expensive gift.

7. Make the gift fun

You are likely to know the person that you are buying a gift for quite well, therefore you know their sense of humour and personality. Try to find a funny gift that will match their sense of humour or that will cheer them up if they are having a particularly bad time.

6. Ask them

Depending on who you are buying the gift for, it may be best to ask them what they would like for a Christmas present. This is more likely to be the case when you are buying for a child but there are some extremely fussy adults out there, so it may be worthwhile asking them for a list of items.

9 Tips on Having a Successful Relationship with Your Father …

I know not everyone is able to have a strong relationship with their father. I consider myself one of the lucky ones. My father and I get along great and have a fantastic time together. I feel that my sisters and I are all fairly close to our father and can talk to him about anything we need to. Here are 9 tips on having a successful relationship with your father, in case you are looking to create a stronger bond between you and your dad.

9. Make an effort

You might have to make the first move in creating a meaningful relationship with your father. Guys don't always express what they are thinking or feeling, so don't wait around for your dad to invite you to join him on an outing or to do something exciting.

8. Include him in your life

Even if he doesn't show a sure sign of acknowledgement of your effort, be sure to include your father in your life. Let him know what the kids are up to, send him some photos, write a letter from time to time, and maybe even give him a call on the telephone every so often. It might take years for him to let you know how much he appreciated being included in everything that was going on in your life.

7. Show some affection

You don't have to suddenly start hugging your dad every time you see him. I know quite a few men that aren't big on affection and actually freak out when someone hugs them. An affectionate smile, pat on the hand or arm, or just sitting a bit closer at times is often plenty for these non-affectionate types. By all means, if your dad hugs you, try not to pull away in shock or it might be the last time he steps out on a limb to show a bit of affection on his part.

9 Facts on OCD …

Many people laugh and make jokes about people that exhibit signs of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder; they fail to understand the serious affect that this can have on the person's life. I have dealt with this problem and know exactly the aggravation it causes. Here are 9 facts on OCD …

9. A few obsessions are shared by many OCD suffers

Many people that suffer from OCD share some obsessions that are quite common. These shared obsessions include; fear of dirt and germs where the sufferer needs to constantly wash their hands, worry about things not being exact or symmetrical or strong aggressive thoughts about harming someone that you care for.

8. Some people have OCD alongside another disorder

There appears to be some link between obsessive compulsive disorder and other disorders, such as depression, eating disorders, anxiety and others. Some people that have OCD also show signs of these other disorders, which can make diagnosis and treatment more difficult as many things need to be tackled.

7. Normally starts during adolescence or early childhood

In the majority of OCD cases the disorder started during childhood or adolescence, it may not have been visible during this period but later made an appearance. Approximately one third, if not more, of adult OCD cases started at some point during childhood.

7 Things To Do In December …

December is a month filled with shopping and planning family get-togethers. And, it’s known to be the most stressful of all months in a year. This December, do these seven things that will help you relax and enjoy the wonderful, holiday spirit that fills the air just a bit more!

1. Take a Walk In The Snow

Yep, just a plain old, uneventful walk. Now, you can’t count walking down the sidewalk between stores! I mean a walk either in the woods, or through the fields. Lift your face to the sky and feel the snowflakes tickle your nose. Close your eyes and bask in the amazing, feathery lightness of the millions of snowflakes swirling through the skies.

2. Go Skating

Grab your honey and go skating out on the frozen lakes in your area. If you’re not living in an area where it gets cold enough to freeze over a lake, hit the local skating rink. This is a fun time to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. If you do not like skating, what about sledding?

3. Sit By The Fire

Grab you a blanket, make a cup of hot cocoa, and just sit and relax. Stare into the flames and think about your life – about how much you have been blessed – about the family and friends that you love! Pretty soon, you’ll be able to face anything the holiday season throws at you with a stress free face!

10 Mature Celebrity Dads …

It's not unusual these days for people to have their family later in life. Men, for obvious reasons, can produce children naturally at a much older age than women. In many cases, the younger children are born from a second or later marriage. Here are some of the celebrity dads enjoying older parenthood.

1. Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas

Douglas was relatively young compared to some of our celeb dads, as he was still in his 50s when his children by second wife Catherine Zeta Jones were born. There is quite a gap between his older son by his first marriage and his younger children, but Douglas himself has admitted that he has been a better parent this time round. One advantage of older parents!

2. Charlie Chaplin

Charlie Chaplin

Chaplin's famously happy marriage with much younger fourth wife Oona O'Neill produced eight children, the youngest of whom was born when Chaplin was 73. Since he died aged 88, his young son was still able to enjoy many years with his famous dad. And wouldn't you rather have a shorter time with a dad like Chaplin than more years with a bad father?

3. Rod Stewart

There will be nearly half a century between Rod's eldest child and the newest addition to the Stewart clan. That's quite impressive. The youngest child will be number 8 by quite a few different mothers (although Rod hasn't quite equalled Chaplin's record).

9 Joys of Running …

Aside from writing, running is one of my passions in life. I started running about 10 months ago and in that span of time, I have run 2 official half-marathons and countless short distance races. As I write this post, I am training for a full marathon which happens in January 2011. I am not a fast runner and I do not have podium finishes. I don't even finish anywhere near top ten. Despite being an average runner, I continue to run for the sheer love of it. I have found in my 10 months of hitting the pavement that there are joys that a runner experiences.

1. Muscle gain

Muscle gain

The first thing you notice after running regularly for several weeks is the gain of muscle mass. You look leaner and the muscles in your lower body feel more firm.

2. Weight loss

You won't notice the weight loss at first because you will actually be heavier. Remember that muscle is heavier than fats. The weight loss comes with the regular running and proper diet.

3. Cardiovascular fitness

The cardio workout and the weight loss greatly contribute to the health of your heart. The constant use of your lungs during running builds them up and makes them stronger.

7 Reasons to Respect Your Parents …

It's difficult to understand where your parents are coming from until you become an adult yourself. It's even easier when you become a parent too. I know not everyone is able to see eye-to-eye with their parents, even once you reach adulthood. However, it still is possible to show them respect no matter what age you are. Here are 7 reasons to respect your parents. I look forward to seeing what types of reasons you might also have. Feel free to post them in the comment section!

7. They put up with your crap and still love you

I wasn't the easiest child to raise. I wasn't a huge pain, at least I don't think so, but there were times that I'm sure my parents would love to erase from their memories. I remember a friend telling me that her mother told her she didn't like her very much once, but that she still loved her to pieces. I never understood how you could love someone, but not like them. I later learned that it is possible to dislike someone's behavior and still love that person, so I'm guessing this might be what she meant. I hope!

6. They respected theirs

They respected theirs

My parents both grew up in a time where it was drilled into kids that they were to respect their elders. I see kids nowadays who talk back and even yell at their parents. I think this is sad. I don't know if I always showed respect to my parents because they showed theirs respect or if I simply wanted to. I think that since my parents were good role models in this aspect that I in turn behaved in the same manner.

5. They have supported you throughout the years

They have supported you throughout the years

Parents work hard to bring up their kids in what they feel is the right way. Being a parent I try to support my kids with their decisions in life, even if I don't always agree with their decision. I'll state my piece and hope they can see it from my point of view too. I don't expect them to agree with everything I say, since they are people too and have the right to make their own decisions in life. I respect my parents for the support they've given me over the years and respect them for the sacrifices they've made in order to provide support.
