7 Ways To Keep Your Skin Young and Healthy …

Is it possible to keep your skin looking healthy and young, even as you age? The answer is yes! Now, one cannot account for genetics and health issues, but overall, with proper care of your skin, you can keep the young, healthy glow for years! Here are seven tips to acheiving young and healthy skin!

1. Water

Drinking healthy water is a vital part of keeping healthy skin. It has been speculated by many as to the exact truthfulness behind this claim, but circustantial evidence proves it to be true. It is known that dehydrated skin shows wrinkles more, and water is a hydration method – the number one way, actually. When skin is plumped with a bit of water weight, it’s actually a good thing! Also, hydrated skin has better blood circulation, and good blood circulation is good for the skin – glowing, healthy skin!

2. Avoid Direct Sun

As much as we girls love a dark, sexy tan, it can be one of the worst things for our skin. Direct sunlight on the skin damages your skin cells, and once they’re damaged, you can never fix them. Your skin works to create new cells, but this process weakens your skin over time, thus aging it more rapidly. If you much tan this coming summer, make sure you use good UV protection to lessen the effects of the sun’s damage on your skin. Just remember, every time your skin is exposed any at all, that’s one more wrinkle you’ll have to deal with!

3. No Smoking!

Smoking depletes your skin’s oxegen level, so it’s no good for healthy skin! Plus, it breaks down your skin’s storage of collagen and elastin – both vital for young skin! Smoking + you can never = healthy skin!

7 Popular Tattooed Body Parts …

The history of tattoos goes back to as early as 5,200 BC, with the discovery of the Tattooed Iceman on the Italian-Austrian border. Tattoos serve different purposes for various cultures. In some cultures, tattoos are used as a permanent amulet or protection for pregnant women. In others, tattoos are used to mark someone as belonging to a certain religious sect, to a master, to the nobility, or even as a criminal. There are also cultures that use tattoos as a form of identification or to enhance physical features. These days, tattoos are mostly a form of creative expression for people. In Ancient Egypt, tattoos were restricted to women. But these days, anyone, regardless of gender, can get a tattoo on almost any part of their bodies. If you are planning to get a tattoo, then you are faced with the decision of where to place it. To help you with your decision, here are some body parts that get the most attention from tattoo artists.

1. Chest/Breast

Chest tattoos are common with men but women also get them. Breast tattoos, as implied by the name, is something that women mostly have done. Both these tattoos can attract attention and can be quite sexy. Chest and breast tattoos can be shown to your lover but hidden from the rest of the world.

2. Wrists

Tattoos placed on this area are usually situated in the inner part of the wrist. Aside from the usual bracelet/wristband and single image styles, inspirational quotes are great designs for wrist tattoos because you can easily see them when you need some motivation. The great thing about wrist tattoos is that you can easily hide them with the use of accessories.

7 Smells That Make My Insides Flip …

7 Smells That Make My Insides Flip …

If you think I'm going to write about onions and dirty socks, you're in for a big surprise. Common bad smelling things don't even bother me so much because, hey, they are supposed to smell that way. After all, you're not supposed to smell or even worst, eat, the dirty sock. Lol! This post is actually about those normal smells most people like so, if you ever found yourself disturbed by the way certain type of food smells, I feel you! Here are some smells my nose detects as "stinks", causing my insides to act accordingly:

1. Warm milk

I'm not lactose intolerant, in fact, I love all dairy products… except the milk itself! Warming up milk is a nightmare for me and I actually have to keep my nose closed while doing that. But, I'm afraid that's not the only weird thing about it! You see, since milk generally smells bad to me and I can't even drink it or tell if it's gone bad by simply smelling it – not even when it's cold.

2. Gasoline

Some people love the smell of a gas station, some don't and I definitely fall under this latter category. Stopping to "juice up" is one of those moments when I try not to breathe too much, as opposed to my sister, for example, who wishes she had the power to conjure a second nose in this occasion, to help her pick up as much of that "wonderful" scent possible.

3. Gianfranco Ferre Lei

I think the correct translation would be "Her", at least that's what's written on the other side of the box. My sister loves and uses this perfume and, in case you have troubles remembering which one is it, it's the bluish – purplish one with a little plastic mechanism on the top. Anyways, this is, by far, one of the worst perfumes I've ever had the misfortune to smell so, if my dear sister comes in any contact with me while she's wearing it, I'll develop a terrible migraine within the next few minutes.

7 Reasons to Google Your Own Address …

7 Reasons to Google Your Own Address …

Have you ever Googled yourself? There are actually lots of benefits to that. Sometimes it’s helpful to see just where your name shows up and why it’s there. It’s also a good idea to search your address. If you’re wondering why, check out these 7 reasons to Google your own address and see what you think.

1. Find out who lives near you

You never know who your neighbors are – and you should. For example, law enforcement experts encourage parents, especially, to Google their addresses, so they can see if anyone who has been registered per the rules of Megan’s law live nearby. That’s not to say you should immediately start hating on any registrants who live close to you, but at the same time, it’s a good idea to be aware.

2. Be aware of any crime reports

In the same vein, you need to know what’s going on in your environment. You can Google your address and the term "crime report" to check out any crime maps. That way, you can know what’s going on in your town, your neighborhood, or even on your street. If there is a string of robberies going on nearby, for instance, and you haven’t heard about it, you can now be aware of what’s happening so you can keep yourself safe.

3. Unearth any real estate scams

There are tons of scams involving real estate, especially on places like Craigslist. If you’ve ever tried looking up home or apartment listings on there, you may have come across a scam. Well, Googling your address can show you if there are any scammers out there trying to rent out or actually sell your house. It definitely happens. Someone out there could be showing a picture of your house or listing your address as a rental popping, so unsuspecting victims will end up wiring them money.

7 Ridiculous Fad Diets …

It seems like a new fad diet comes out every day – and some of them are absolutely ridiculous. Fad diets can be dangerous but some of them are also laughable, they are so off the mark. Check out these 7 ridiculous fad diets and see if you can come up with some unbelievable ones yourself!

1. Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet

Yeah, I wished this diet worked. I’m serious, I like cookies. Of course, this diet doesn’t apply to good things, like Keebler and Pepperidge Farm (what? Don’t judge me!). Rather, Dr. Siegal comes up with his own cookies that are supposed to control your appetite. They look sort of like fiber bricks and taste pretty much the same way. Basically, one cookie fills up your stomach and just heavily hangs out there forever, so you physically can’t eat anything else.

2. The Subway Diet

I think by now everyone knows this probably isn’t going to work the way the commercials say it will. I don’t care how many low fat or fat free options Subway puts on the menu, you’re not really likely to lose a lot of weight if all you eat are sub sandwiches. Plus holy goodness, that could get expensive. Really expensive.

3. Cereal Diet

Likewise, it’s not realistic to think you’ll lose weight if you supplement two meals a day with cereal. I mean, I guess you could, but odds are it’s going to come back on you, plus how healthy can this possibly be? Most of the cereals recommended for this diet contain a lot of sugar – even the so-called healthy ones.

Diamond Stud Earrings
Seriously, there is a reason these little earrings are my number one. Unlike other pieces of jewelry, diamond studs just seem to bring out something steamy when we wear them. What I love about these earrings is that you can usually find them in either round shaped or princess cut diamonds and really, any size diamond looks fabulous on. White gold, yellow gold, platinum…who cares!

2. Diamond Bracelets

Diamond Bracelets
Definitely a hot gift for the books, there is something so classy and elegant about a diamond bracelet. Style wise, these little beauties run the gamut – from cuff style to bracelets with charms. I love to wear diamond bracelets to really dress up my outfit – definitely a great accessory for the evening.

3. Heart Jewelry

Heart Jewelry
What did you expect? You can't have Valentine's Day without some kind of heart shaped piece of jewelry. The hot trend this year seems to be heart shaped pendants. Thesaurus for Men: 9 Things Women Say …

A woman is a delicate flower, a beautiful, divine creation, she's not like anything you've seen before, so it's quite logical you don't understand everything she says. Right? Well, guys, here's some useful tips for you too. So keep reading because I'm about to tell you a little bit more about all those things we say hoping you'll finally learn how to interpret them.

1. Do I look fat?

Watch guys, this is a trick question- there is no right answer! If you say no, you're going be accused of lying. If you, God forbid, decide to speak your mind, more troubles will follow. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT say, "Well, sweetie, you have been eating a lot of sweets lately", because you're going to spend the next couple of hours trying to explain that you do love her and you don't didn't really mean to say that she's fat.

2. Nothing

Nothing is usually something. Wait, strike that, nothing is always something and it usually has a lot to do with you! You either messed up big time or forgot about something, and I sincerely hope it's not her birthday or your anniversary! In its mild, first stage, the "nothing" mood can be easily fixed – all you have to do is remember what you did wrong and find a good explanation for. Ignoring the "nothing" mood can have a damaging effect on your lifestyle and daily habits – it actually spreads like a plague and you'll soon realize that "nothing" is everything you'll have on your menu today, tomorrow and every following day… Until you finally acknowledge "nothing" and find a way to fix it.

3. How do I look?

You are supposed to notice something. I can't tell you what exactly because it could be anything – new shoes, new dress, new hairstyle. But, come on, just use your "quick scan"look! You know, the one you use to check out other girls when you're with us. We're not expecting you to notice everything, but we do appreciate your attention. We know we always look beautiful but you HAVE to notice that. P.S: “Fine” is not a valid answer!

8 Tips on Driving Safe in Snow …

Traveling in the snow can be a tricky process. Not everyone is able to invest lots of dough into a heavy 4-wheel drive vehicle. I think the hardest part about driving in the snow is trying to watch out for the other drivers. There are many drivers who have little or no experience with winter driving. Here are 8 tips on driving safe in snow.

8. Do not use cruise control

While cruise control is great for when you have to drive long distances, it isn't wise to use it during inclement weather. You never know when you might hit a patch of ice or deep snow and lose control of the car. Having your vehicle set on cruise control makes it much harder to gain control of your car when the roads are slick.

7. Keep your lights on during the daytime

This is especially important if your vehicle is white or a light gray. It's hard enough to see vehicles when the days are dreary, let alone when they blend in the snowy surroundings. Keeping your lights on doesn't cause you to use more fuel when driving and it makes it much safer to travel. Other vehicles are more likely to notice your presence if your car lights are turned on during the day.

6. Apply the brakes gently

Slamming on the brakes is a good way to end up in a ditch or down a snowy embankment. Apply gentle pressure to the brakes, until you are sure that your tires have enough traction to stop without skidding. I let up on the gas when I know I will need to stop soon. Pumping the brakes usually isn't necessary, unless your car is equipped with the type of brakes that need to be pumped in order to stop efficiently. Gentle pressure that gradually increases is best.

7 Dangerous Fashion Trends …

Girls, let's be honest. We're all willing to go a little crazy in the interest of looking fierce, but how often does following fads put our health at risk? Fashion, it turns out, can be fatal, and here are some surprisingly dangerous trends to avoid.

1. Perilous Platforms

Ladies, beware: it turns out that 'killer heels' isn't just an expression. With the return of towering stilettos, footwear is becoming fatal. While falling remains the number one threat, shoe lovers also face a host of chronic injuries. Walking in heels can cause osteoarthritis which means doctor's bills as high as the guilty shoes themselves!

2. Over Oversized Bags?

Unlike the clutches and micro-bags of the last decade there is space in today's oversized shopper to fit just about anything, and this, chiropractors tell us, is a serious problem. Girls literally lugging their lives in their Louis Vuittons are presenting with multiple strains and the beginnings of arthritis. Remember ladies, fashion should be fun, not a pain in the neck, so be a little selective when you're packing that tremendous tote

3. Suffocating Sashes

Throughout history women have hankered after tinier waists. Tudor girls wore metal corsets, Victorians ladies were strapped into crinolines, and today we breathe in and do the waist-belt up another notch. While this modern method seems tame it's not without its risks. A too-snug waist-belt can compress the lungs, causing nausea and dizziness from a lack of oxygen. So girls, easy-does-it when you're buckling up. Try to remember it's his breath, not your own, that you want to take away!

8 Ways to Spark His Interest on a Date …

First dates are like a coin toss. They can go wonderful or they can go terrible. Sometimes, things just don't click with the other person and that really is not something that you can fix. However, you can make the date more interesting, which will be great if the two of you do click. I am going to give you 8 ways to spark his interest on a date.

8. Listen to Him

Guys love it when they have a girl in front of them that is really listening to them. Don't just listen to them, make sure you join in on the conversation. Don't let him be the only one that is talking. You have to show interest in him if you want him to be interested in you.

7. Show Up On Time

Sure, sometimes, things come up, but you shouldn't let anything come up on date night, because this is something that has been planned. Of course, sometimes, things do happen and if it does, call him and let him know that you will be a bit late.

6. Teach Him Something

Do you know what I find interesting? Sharing knowledge. Perhaps there is something you know that you would like to teach him. Do you know some unique tips on growing flowers? If he is into gardening and the topic has come up, then teach him those tips.

8 Things I’d Like To Know About Men …

I don't know if men are from Mars, but they certainly are a bit of a mystery to me. Perhaps it's growing up in a female-dominated family, but there are a lot of things about men that I just don't understand. Here are some of them …

1. Sleep

How is it that men can sleep through babies crying, someone breaking in, planes flying overhead or the house collapsing in an earthquake? And yet if we so much as twitch a muscle, they sit up and complain 'You woke me up!'.

2. Snoring

Why do they refuse to accept that snoring is their problem? They're the ones making the noise, they're the ones keeping others awake, and yet they get very annoyed if anyone complains! How dare we want a good night's sleep!

3. Beer

What is it with beer? I know that some women like beer as well, but men almost seem to worship the stuff. Is their notion of masculinity so tied up with swigging from bottles of beer?

7 Things to Know About His Man Parts …

I like to learn new things and hopeful, I am able to teach at least one of you something new. Surely, some of you reading this blog may already know the things I tell you, but some of you may not know these. There are 7 things to know about his man parts …

7. The Tip

The tip of his "man part" is very sensitive. When the skin on it gets pulled, it feels strange to the man. If there is no skin there to pull back in the first place, then this would not apply to your guy.

6. Penis

Why would you want to call it a "penis" when in bed? For some, this word can be a turn off. The term "penis" is found in the textbooks. Use something a bit more … exotic. You know, something that makes him feel manly and apart from other men.

5. Compliments

Do you like receiving compliments? What do you like receiving compliments on? Your makeup? Your clothes? Well, men like to receive compliments on their man parts, so remember this one.

7 Wacky Road Signs …

I've taken a few pictures of road signs as I've traveled around the world. Some have been very memorable, due to the laughter they brought about. A few post cards have been created from these photographs, as well as some excellent calendars to pass out to the family for the holidays. Here are 7 wacky road signs I've found on the internet. A few of them I've come across in my travels too.

7. Warning of a broken heel

Women wearing high-heeled shoes in Denmark don't have to worry about being surprised by a broken stiletto. The cobble stone streets are clearly marked with signs depicting a high-heeled show with the heel being snapped off and the word 'ZONE' posted underneath the pictures. These signs are painted a bright school-bus yellow so they are very easy to spot.

6. Moose Danger

I've seen what a deer can do to a vehicle in my area of the country. I can only imagine the type of damage a giant moose would do. Apparently tourists and locals alike are warned of the danger present when a moose and a car meet. The bright yellow signs seen in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Newfoundland show a crumpled front end of a car with a moose glaring at it.

5. Road danger to cyclists

The city of Portland, Oregon has a plethora of cyclists who tool around the city. Apparently this city is also riddled with crevices created by public transportation, mainly trolleys and trains. There are light yellow signs posted along various routes where transportation lines form major crevices in the roadways. The signs show a road with two gaps and a cyclist doing a front flip off of a bike that has gotten the front tire lodged in one of these two gaps.

8 Types of Co-Workers You Don’t Want to be …

When I used to work outside of home, I had a horrible co worker who just wouldn't leave me alone. She would pick at everything and most of all, she'd sit on her butt while I would do all of the work. My husband and I worked in the same place, so she thought it would be clever to start a rumor that I was sleeping with someone else – my husband only laughed to her face at it – he knows better. This is to give you an idea of how bad this co worker I had to deal with was. It was getting to the point where she would bow up at me at work. It would turn into a yelling match and after awhile, I started looking into "Workplace bullying," which is against the law. They ended up putting her inside, away from me, in the office. She says it was because of her computer skills – when really, it wasn't. It was because she wasn't doing work, perhaps that was because she weighed over 300 lbs? I'm glad I no longer have to work with her and am running my own business- that is the ending result – showing her who had the real computer skills. I want to give you 8 types of co-workers you don't want to be …

8. Tattle Tell

Oh yes, sure, there are certain things that you should go to the boss to. However, if you go to the boss over little stuff constantly, then you are a tattle tell. No one wants to be around a tattle tell, let alone, work with one.

7. Gossiper

I do not know about you, but I don't like those gossipers at work. Especially when they sit there and gossip while they are being paid.

6. Rumor Starter

As you read in my introduction, I have had to deal with a rumor starter in the work place. I never understood why someone wants to start rumors – they are no good.

7 Ways to Prepare for February Doldrums …

Around about February, winter officially seems to last forever. It’s like it will never, ever end. So what do you do when the days stretch out and become interminable? There are several options, but combating those feelings is probably the best way to go. In that spirit, here are 7 ways to prepare for February doldrums.

1. Take a Vacation

If you can, February is a great time to take a vacation, even if it’s a short weekend getaway. Just going somewhere away from all the snow piling up around you can make a difference – even if you go somewhere that has its own snow. At least it’s new snow, and new piles of slush, and new swatches of grey sky, you know what I mean?

2. Decorate for Valentine’s Day

Sometimes all you need to shove back February doldrums is a little color in your life. One great way to get that is to decorate for Valentine’s Day. If you downright hate Valentine’s Day, this probably isn’t the best option for you, but otherwise, it’s a great way to incorporate some vibrancy in your life. Reds and pinks and purples, hearts and cupids and candy – who can be full of malaise surrounded by those kinds of things?

3. Scrapbook

Scrapbooking is also a great way to make February seem a little brighter and better. See, when you start looking at memories from other times, it helps you remember those times, of course, so you can see, touch, smell, taste, and hear them. Who cares about the grey stretch of February when you can be transported to your daughter’s fourth birthday party, the day of your college graduation, or your parents’ 30th wedding anniversary?
